Fletcher Priest’s Woodberry Down masterplan is the largest regeneration project in one of London’s fastest changing boroughs. Cited by Government as an example of best practice, in a package of measures designed to end poverty and improve life chances of the most disadvantaged, Woodberry Down was named as one of the most successful regeneration schemes in London.
It is becoming a high quality mixed tenure residential district making the most of its North London setting adjacent to Finsbury Park, surrounded by the New River and with views across London over two spectacular but previously not well known reservoirs. Building on inherited regeneration proposals, Fletcher Priest’s designs significantly increase the quality and quantity of new homes and public open spaces, narrowing and calming Seven Sisters Road which bisects the site. Extensive consultation with the local community led to strong support and unanimous planning approval for the proposals, delivering 3,900 homes including detailed designs for 185 homes.
