Axis Square  LCR

Axis Square is a development of offices, retail and public space that is set to transform a city centre site in Birmingham, and vastly improve connectivity between Broad Street, New Street Station and the surrounding areas.

The plans have received outline planning permission from Birmingham City Council. Currently the site, next to The Mailbox, is occupied by the 1970s Axis building. The new development will include three further commercial office buildings, in addition to the 10-storey One Axis Square, which received detailed planning permission in January 2017.

The development will see structures ranging from five to 23 storeys, set around a vibrant new public square with ground floor retail and high quality landscaping features.

The evolution of the plans during extensive public consultation has seen more detail on the building design the addition of a rooftop restaurant and more detailed landscaping proposals.
