East Village, situated on the doorstep of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, will be the first residential legacy to result from the Games when it opens to residents in late 2013.
A series of NLA breakfast talks, to accompany the East Village: a lasting legacy for London exhibition on display at the NLA from 13-31 March, will illustrate the story of the incredible development of East Village and its part in the wider transformation of Stratford and East London.
In this first talk, hear the story of East Village from masterplanning to legacy, with presentations from masterplanners, including Fletcher Priest, on how the site has evolved a from long-term regeneration opportunity to constructed reality, and from legacy owners Qatari Diar Delancey (QDD) and Triathlon Homes on the future for this 2,818-home neighbourhood beyond the Games.
