Our masterplan, for one of London’s major Registered Social Landlords, is located on a six hectare site close to Stratford Station, forming part of the extensive regeneration underway in this part of east London in the build-up to 2012. New pedestrian links will open up the predominantly residential site, which is currently introverted and disconnected from its surroundings. Public routes will bring activity and animation into the area and support adjacent commercial and leisure activities. The main open space at the centre of the site will feature new public realm to create a strong sense of address and identity. The project includes office and retail space directly related to the historic high street. Residential units in a mixture of tenures, ranging from tall apartments to duplexes and town houses, help create a diverse environment in which to live and work. Community facilities and open public areas are also included in the scheme which follows from the creation of a new headquarters building for East Thames, which formed the first phase of the project.
