The transformation of the former printing works for GE Capital Real Estate is a response to the changing context of Fetter Lane. Surrounded by legal practices the simplified flexible plan and additional space with new occupant amenities will be attractive to a range of tenants including lawyers.
The completed building will be over 50% more energy efficient than its predecessor incorporating rainwater and solar harvesting. The sophisticated intelligent building technology developed by GE will allow the building occupants to monitor their energy and resource use in real time. The project represents a platform for GE product incorporation and feedback informing future sustainable retrofitting of existing buildings.
