New Ludgate receives the International Architecture Award 2017

New Ludgate has been selected to receive the International Architecture Award 2017 from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Our masterplan for New Ludgate set a vision for reintegrating this important site on the processional route from Ludgate Circus to St Paul’s into the City’s social and economic life. We brought this to fruition as architect for One New Ludgate and executive architects for Two New Ludgate designed by Sauerbruch Hutton. At ground level, Gustafson Porter + Bowman’s landscape design ties the new development seamlessly into the surrounding urban fabric and character. This is achieved by fine landscape details and finishes which reinforce the smooth transition and facilitate the use of this new public space in a tight urban site.

The International Architectural Awards honours new and cutting-edge design as well as promotes international architecture and design to their public audience globally.
