Both of our schemes, for Woodberry Down and East Village, have been shortlisted for best residential scheme of the decade. The award, sponsored by Mansion Global, recognises trail-blazing residential developments from the last 10 years. The winner will be announced in September at the Resi Conference organised by Property Week.
Woodberry Down masterplan is the largest regeneration project in one of London’s fastest changing boroughs. Our design significantly increase the quality and quantity of new homes and public open spaces, narrowing and calming Seven Sisters Road which bisects the site. Extensive consultation with the local community led to strong support and unanimous planning approval for the proposals, delivering 3,900 homes including detailed designs for 185 homes.
Our masterplan for the Olympic Village emerged from our work on Stratford City which transformed a formerly inaccessible and polluted area of brownfield land in East London into the venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the most successful in history. It was the largest ever planning application in London comprising a major new employment district and the largest urban retail centre in Europe, new public open spaces, a new mixed-tenure residential neighbourhood complete with infrastructure and 4,500 homes.
