We are very pleased that both One New Ludgate and Carmelite Riverside have been shortlisted for the 2016 RICS Award.
Both in the City of London, One New Ludgate open up views and reinstates the historic curve to Ludgate Hill along the processional route to St Paul’s Cathedral. It is the transformation of a City block into a generous and lively new quarter for London. It sets up a dialogue between two striking and complementary new buildings whilst reinstating and improving the public realm around it and new routes through the city block.
Carmelite Riverside revives a listed 19th century building transforming it into the headquarters for a contemporary publishing house. Our sensitive re-development of the site preserves and restores the Listed façade whilst replacing the 1990s intervention with a building which sympathetically responds to its environment whilst re-using the modern structure of the former building.
