We are very pleased that so many of our clients have engaged with Open House and this year five of our projects are open for the public to visit. These include three in the City of London – 6 Bevis Marks with its 16 storey covered roof garden; One Angel Lane on the river with an award winning vegetable garden on the upper terrace and Tower 42 one of the tallest buildings in the City. Outside the City, the former Olympic Village now known as East Village and Woodberry Down have both organised tours.
Open House is London’s largest festival of architecture and urban design and is just one part of the year-round work of Open-City, a charity set up 23 years ago to open eyes and minds to the power of good design. In excess of 700 building across London will be open to the public during the weekend of the 19th and 20th September, many of which are normally closed to the general public.
