We recently had the pleasure of hosting two events associated with the London Festival of Architecture 2013.
As part of a collaborative event between Fitzrovia-based architectural and engineering practices we pedestrianised Great Titchfield Street for a single day and erected a polycarbonate greenhouse to encourage people to pick up a pen and sketch. Termed ‘The Drawing Room’ passers-by were invited into the structure to draw directly onto the interior surface, tracing local landmarks and features.
Another drawing event and exhibition took place in the Hackney Picturehouse which was refurbished by Fletcher Priest Architects in 2011. Visitors were asked to draw their thoughts about their cinema experience on a postcard, some of the results can be seen here: www.buildingpostmark.com
