Context and Sustainability: the architecture of Fletcher Priest

Tuesday, 20 March 2012: ‘Context and Sustainability: the architecture of Fletcher Priest’ Fletcher Priest have several City of London buildings to their credit, most notably the Watermark Place building on the Thames, now occupied by Nomura and called 1 Angel Lane. They now have two new projects starting on site, at 6 Bevis Marks for AXA and at 1 & 2 New Ludgate for Land Securities. Bevis Marks partly recycles the previous building and will have a glazed roof garden next to the Gherkin; Old Bailey promises a fine public realm and a sophisticated use of colour in replacing a very dull mass with two buildings, the second by Sauerbruch Hutton. Keith Priest will address us, potentially with client and engineer contributions.
